Before you choose Ayurveda software, here's what clinics commonly run into with generic or budget systems — and how we approach it differently.
Most clinics that switch to Ayumanager PRO have already tried at least one other system first. When we ask what pushed them to look for something else, the same handful of complaints come up — regardless of which vendor they started with.
A recurring complaint is that the previous system felt like a digitised spreadsheet — dense grids, unlabeled fields, and a UI that hasn't been redesigned in years. It technically stores the data, but front-desk staff and doctors end up working around the interface instead of through it, day after day.
Some vendors quote a very low headline price and then bill separately for what should be standard — a small change to a case paper format, an extra field on a billing screen, or simply adding another staff login. The real cost of a suspiciously cheap plan often shows up later, spread across customization charges and per-user fees that weren't obvious at signup.
When something breaks during OPD hours, waiting on a support ticket — or being asked to pay for a support call — isn't a minor inconvenience, it's a clinic day disrupted. This is often a symptom of a small support team spread across too many unrelated clients, rather than one focused on healthcare software specifically.
The most common root cause behind the complaints above is this one: the vendor didn't take the time to understand how the clinic actually runs before selling the software. The same generic configuration gets sold to every client — solo OPD, multi-doctor clinic, or Panchakarma centre alike — and the mismatch shows up later as manual workarounds.
We can't speak for every vendor a clinic has tried before us, but this is what we build toward:
Whether you're evaluating us or someone else, these are worth asking directly before you sign up:
A low headline price is worth checking closely against what's actually included. Ask specifically whether customization, additional staff logins, and support are covered in that price or billed separately once you're already set up.
Ask them to walk through your specific OPD flow, or how a multi-day therapy course gets scheduled, instead of a generic feature list. A vendor that's built specifically for Ayurveda practice should be able to do this without guessing.
It varies by vendor, and it's a reasonable question to ask upfront rather than after a support issue comes up. Get clarity in writing on what's included in your plan versus what counts as a paid request before you sign up.
It usually means the system was built as a generic data grid — rows, columns, and forms — rather than around how an Ayurveda OPD, case paper, or Panchakarma schedule actually works day to day. The data gets stored, but staff end up working around the interface instead of through it.
Tell us about your OPD volume, Panchakarma offerings, and billing needs — we'll walk you through pricing and support clearly, before you commit to anything.
